Article 1 – Name, seat and duration

 

1. The foundation is called: Middle East and North Africa Research Associates (MENARA)

2. She is located in Amsterdam

3. The foundation has been established for an indefinite period of time

4. The foundation is registered in the register of the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam

 

 

Article 2 – Purpose

 

1. The foundation aims to gather and disseminate knowledge about the social, cultural, political and economic situation in the Middle East and North Africa and beyond, with a special focus on Yemen, in the context of contemporary international political relations and to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the local population and the transnational community .

2. The foundation tries to achieve its goal by:

a. conduct scientific, policy and journalistic research

b. disseminate the results of these studies to scientists, policy makers, non-governmental organizations and the general public

c. organize activities that contribute to improving knowledge about the social, cultural, political and economic situation in the Middle East and North Africa

d. to maintain contact with (non-)governmental organizations in the region and beyond and to contribute to their activities if these are in line with the objectives of the foundation

e. facilitating and creating dialogue between different parties.

3. The foundation expressly does not aim to make a profit.

 

Article 3 – Assets

 

The assets of the foundation will be formed by:

1. the foundation capital;

2. grants and donations ¬;

3. inheritances, bequests and gifts;

4. any other ¬gains and losses.
