Vision

Our vision is that better knowledge and insight in the complexities of the region, and Yemen in particular, is instrumental to bring about change. In addition, we are convinced that we can only achieve these changes in collaboration with likeminded people and organizations on the ground.

Mission

Menara’s main goal is to collect and disseminate knowledge about the social, cultural, political and economic situation in the Middle East and North Africa with particular attention for Yemen. In addition, Menara wants to contribute to improving the living conditions of the (local) population in the MENA region, and in Yemen in particular, and its transnational communities

Carrying out scientific, policy related and/or journalistic research as well as by disseminating the results of these research project among academics, policy makers and governmental and non-governmental organizations
Facilitating and creating dialogue between various parties
Consulting, supervision or training in our fields of expertise
